Geoff Clapp RIP

We sadly have to report the death of Geoff Clapp, one of the earliest housefathers at the Pestalozzi Children’s Village.

Geoff came to our community as a young volunteer in late 1959 before becoming a permanent staff member. With a gregarious and caring personality, Geoff quickly gained the trust of the children.

After his departure in 1962, Geoff retained a continuing interest in the children. In fact, in subsequent years – after their own departures, Geoff was able to provide invaluable support to some of the children. Without this help they would have been left in more difficult circumstances.

For many of us, Geoff made a significant difference and had an enduring impact on our lives..
