Swiss Hall

This Page Is Under Construction.

Swiss Hall – erected in approximately 1965/66 on the higher ground to the west of International House – was the last building to be constructed during the Village’s early era. We think it was designed as a centralĀ  community building. It took its name from the Village’s association with the Pestalozzi Children’s Village in Trogen, Switzerland. We are uncertain as to when it had been decided to create Swiss Hall – whether or not it had been part of the Village’s earlier “master plan” (which failed to eventuate).
