The early Pestalozzi children would usually return to their own families each summer holidays. For the Easter and Christmas breaks, the Village relied on the generosity of UK families who offered to open their homes to a child. Some of these families continued to keep in touch with their wards long after the children had left the Pestalozzi Children’s Village – and, in fact, some continue to do so to this day.
Were you (or your parents) a “holiday family” for one of the early Pestalozzi children? Please let us know!
