Solicitor and social campaigner
Ambrose Appelbe is recorded as Honorary Solicitor to the British Pestalozzi Children’s Village Association in 1950 and 1952
Appelbe’s specific contribution to the charity remains undiscovered at this time. He was no longer Honorary Solicitor in September 1958.
As well as being known for defending in some high-profile court cases, he was also a founder and supporter of a variety of organisations with a range of social aims.*
We are keen to discover any documents, articles or images that will reveal more about Ambrose Appelbe‘s contribution to the Pestalozzi Children’s Village
* This included the Planned Enviroment Therapy Trust, which he helped establish in 1966.
