A Methodist Minister for fifty years.** An ardent pacifist, founder of the the Methodist Peace Fellowship, he also pioneered the Methodist Refugee Fund in the 1940s.***
Described as having “the biggest mouth in Methodism” and whose “blend of passion and logic was utterly compelling”.****
Carter’s specific contribution to the Pestalozzi charity remains undiscovered at this time.
